How To Wreck Your Print Business

This event shares the many things I did right to build an award winning, multi-million pound print business that went on to become the largest chain of independent print centres in the country... but that's not what you want to hear... is it?

I'll also share how EIGHT fundamental, and 100% avoidable mistakes caused the "perfect storm" that saw that amazing business FAIL on its 20th Birthday.  Mistakes that were hiding in plain sight.

How many of those mistakes could you be making right now?  Let's find out.

I'll be sharing EVERYTHING from that Amazon #1 Best Seller - "How To Wreck Your Business"

Join me on Thursday 27th November at 5.30pm - it ain't going to be boring.

What's The Event About?

Honestly, my business is doing GREAT, I don't need to listen to you...

That's what I said, and I paid a heavy, heavy price for that.  That was mistake #1, there's more.

On Thursday 27th November I am going to share the lot.   You don't get to build a multi-million pound print business that goes on to be the largest chain of independent print centres in the COUNTRY by being a dummy.  So, I'll share how I started, grew and scaled.

I'll also share the mistakes I made, the mistakes that were made MANY YEARS before the business "failed".  The mistakes that the sheer SUCCESS of the business was actually masking.

This will be raw, real, abrupt, possibly rude, but very, very valuable for you.

A Bit About Me - What Gives ME The Right?

My print story starts with the CB craze after the movie "Convoy" hit the big screen.  Still at school, I bought an Adana 8x5 and started printing CB cards.  That business started the journey into print... it also allowed me to learn to fly, and paved my way into the Royal Air Force.  Even in the RAF, print was still a huge focal point, I ran the "Printing Club" and was a features editor with the Station Magazine.

Fast forward a number of years, I left the RAF and started "The Ink Shop" from a small unit based in the Glasgow "Barras".  That business flourished (under statement), and at its peak we had print centres in Glasgow, Glasgow North, Cumbernauld, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Paisley, Hamilton, Greenock, Dunfermline, Stirling.. and more planned.

Despite that success, that business failed on its 20th Birthday.  The success of the business had masked a number of errors that I was too slow, too proud, or maybe TOO ARROGANT to remedy.  I see this in many others today.

EVERY mistake I made was 100% avoidable, and I'm going to share the lot with you... warts and all.

I then joined the amazing team at Tradeprint as Production Director and did some pretty awesome work there.  Production stats and quality performance were WELL UP and that business was flying... £10m+... maybe flying too high...it became very visible.

Tradeprint was then bought by Cimpress (Vistaprint), and I became a Plant Director of the largest print group on the planet.  Alas, the life of corporate print was not for me, and I left Tradeprint and Cimpress.

Today, I share my story.  How To Wreck Your Business went on to become an Amazon #1 Best Seller.  I share the highs and lows with business owners LIKE YOU to ensure those mistakes are not repeated.  It's easily done, they hide in plain sight.

I am NOT a business coach, let's get that cleared up right now.  What I offer is raw, real, streetwise, practical and useable, not utter shit from a book or course masked with open ended questions.  You'll NOT see letters after my name, but you will see pound signs.

Many of you won't want to work with me, that's okay, my style is not for everyone - just remember, that's what I said....
